First decide if you want to use the BCC field or not. Other wise all of your contacts will be displayed for everybody to see. You can either just open your address book at this point or start a new message before continuing on.
If you want to use the BCC field open a new message and then tab down to the BCC field. Then go to your address book with control+shift+B. Next tab over to your list of contacts and hit control+A.
If you would like to send e-mail to selected people in your address book but not to everybody the procedure is very much the same as above. The only difference is as follows. Instead of hitting control+A to select all contacts do the following.
Arrow to the first contact you want and hold down the control key. Now move to the next person that is to receive a message and hit the space bar. At this point you have 2 people selected. Simply repeat this step until you are finished making your choices.
Next hit the applications key and in the resulting menu that will pop up arrow down to the action sub menu. Right arrow into it and the first choice is send mail. Hit enter and all of your contacts will be placed in the field you've previously chosen to use. The shortcut keys are as follows: After you've selected the contacts in either of the previous steps hit the following key strokes.

then the I key and hit enter.
