Problem:
The file path is not shown in the address bar while in Windows Explorer

Solution:
If you encounter this problem, it is because the address bar has somehow been moved, or the view settings have been changed. Follow the steps below to correct this problem:

1. Press ALT + T, for tools, then O, for folder options. In the resulting screen, shift tab once to place you on the general tab, then right arrow to the view tab. Tab until you come to the tree-view, and then down arrow to show the full path in the address bar and make sure it is on. If you make any changes, make sure to okay the dialogue to save your changes.
2. While in Windows Explorer, (My Computer), go to the view menu, and then open the toolbars sub-menu, and make sure that lock the toolbars is unchecked.
3. Once out of the menus, route Jaws to PC, and go to the top of the screen.
4. Now, very carefully search for the word, address, and when you locate it, double-click it with the left mouse button.
5. Return to the PC cursor, and then press F6 to bring the address bar into focus. If you were successful, the file path should show in the address bar. If you can not get to the address with your screen-reader, then you will need to have someone sighted mouse to it.

Note:
If you are in the list view of your drives in My Computer,, then that is what will be shown in the address bar, likewise, if you are in Local Disk C, then C will be shown.

6. Finally, return to the view menu, and then the toolbars sub-menu, and check lock the toolbars.
You are done.
