PERSONALIZED MENUS
Do you ever get into a menu, such as your program files in the start menu and try and find a menu Item only to have that item not show up until you cycle around? Then after cycling around, the menu item shows up?
This is most likely because you are using personalized menus. Personalized menus are a feature of Windows to allow you to find a frequently used item quicker. It only shows the most recently used items in the menu until you cycle around to the top and then it begins to show you all of the menu items.
I for one, don’t care to have this feature active and choose to turn it off. If you want the personalized menu turned off, do the following.
Go to your control panel.
Go to the task bar and start menu icon and press enter.
Control tab one time to the, start menu page
Tab to customize and press enter.
Here you will have several buttons as you press your tab key. They include, add, remove, advanced, sort and clear.
Right after the clear button will be a list.
Arrow down this list to, personalized menus.
If it says, on, then press your space bar to turn it off.
Tab to OK and press enter.
Tab again to OK and press enter.
Close out of the control panel.
Your menu items should now all show up as you arrow through them.
