ReInitializing Eudora Settings

Here's how to restore the initial Eudora settings. This is equivalent to restoring the default settings.

1. Back up your current eudora.ini file. If you installed Eudora with the default settings, use the following path.

c\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora\eudora.ini

2. Press Alt+t for the tools menu, and arrow up or down to options, but do not press enter.

3. While on options, hold down the control and shift keys simultaneously and press the enter key. You will receive the following message. which is place in quotes below.

"Eudora is about to strip out all but the most vital settings from your Eudora.ini file, and then exit. Your current Eudora.ini file will be saved as Eudini.sav. Do you want to go ahead with this? Yes Button No Button"

4. The no button is the default button. If you tab to yes and press enter, Eudora will strip out most of the current settings. However, very basic information such as your incoming and outgoing server addresses will remain in tact.
